August 13–16, 2026
Hosted by: United Presbyterian Church of Superior, WI
Theme: Partners in Growth - Holistic approaches to physical, spiritual growth, and community sustainability
During this meeting, we will pursue tangible ways that we can foster growth in our partnerships, growth in local churches, growth in our imaginations, and growth in the communities we serve. Because we value the church as the body of Christ, we know that we too as members that make up the body of Christ are called to grow in wisdom and stature (Luke 2:52 – The child [Jesus] grew and became strong, filled with wisdom; and the favor of the Lord was upon him.).
During the meeting, we will:
• Worship, laugh, pray, and break bread together
• Use a workshop model for our sessions to have deep conversations, develop skills and strategies to strengthen partnerships, learn from one another, and increase clarity around what the scriptures say about growth and development
• Share and hear reports from GMN partnership members
• Visit local community organizations to learn about partnerships in our region
• Create virtual interactive engagement opportunities
The growing GMN community provides support, encouragement, and inspiration for individuals & partnerships.

The Ghana Mission Network was formed in 2002. Its first official meeting was held in 2004 in Louisville, KY. Annual Meetings are hosted by various members of the GMN and held in different U.S. and Ghanaian cities. The GMN holds its Annual Meeting in Ghana every third year when the Presbyterian Church of Ghana and the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana co-hosted the GMN Meeting at the Accra Presbyterian Women's Centre in Abokobi. The 2019 meeting was hosted by the Presbytery of Lake Erie in Erie, Pennsylvania. In 2024 the meeting was hosted by the Presbyterian Church of Ghana and the Greenwich Meridian Congregation in Tema, Ghana and in 2025 the meeting was hosted virtually.
United Presbyterian Church Superior, WI is excited to host the biannual GMN meeting on the shores of Gitchee-Gumee (Lake Superior)! Lake Superior, one of the Great Lakes, holds the largest body of freshwater in the world. It is a major source of shipping, fishing and recreation for many people in the U.S and around the world. Our region is known for its inspiring take on food (Wild Rice, fresh fruit and fish from the lake, cheese curds and bratwursts), wild weather (imagine -45 in the winter?!), famous musicians (Bob Dylan, Trampled By Turtles, and even Ross Thorn), and for being the 2nd largest inland shipping port in the WORLD. Plus the many outdoor activities and amenities we boast from surfing on the lake, mountain biking, and hikes to waterfalls. We can’t wait to share this region with you! Incorporated in the conference will be visits to some of our local parks. We will also have additional “add-on” excursions the day before and after the meetings for those who are interested. More information on those to come!
We recognize and honor the fact that the land we will be meeting on and traversing is the historic home of the indigenous Ojibwa Lake Superior Chippewa Native Americans, many of whom are represented in our congregations and in our communities.
UPC is looking forward to hosting the 2026 GMN conference. The congregation and the City of Superior are looking forward to hosting delegates from Ghana and all over the United States. We cannot wait to share our parks, lakes, museums, and friendly community with all delegates.
